Who would have thought that the woman who would normally do anything to avoid watching sport on the TV would catch the Olympic bug? I have to admit that over the past 2 weeks I have become a true Olympics addict and after hearing about these young athletes’ journeys to get to the games and seeing them collecting their well-deserved medals I have realised what amazing role models our kids have to look up to. The British athletes are a true inspiration to sports enthusiasts across the country and the London 2012 Olympics have made me very proud to be British.
To celebrate Team GB’s huge we have a fabulous competition for iPad owners.
The Amazing People Club specialise in creating iBooks that feature amazing and inspirational people and have recently released 3 titles named; Amazing Olympic Stories 1 & 2 and Amazing People of London.
These interactive multimedia textbooks feature fabulous photos from past Olympics as well as fun and informative quizzes. Using the built in avatar software students can come virtually face to face with people of historical importance whilst the audio stories also offer insights into the games and the people behind them.
So do you fancy having a virtual meeting with Jesse Owen , the athlete who smashed racial barriers on his way to winning 4 gold medals in Berlin 1936? Or how about a quick virtual chat with Oscar Swahn, who at the age of 72 became the oldster ever athlete to compete in the Olympics?
Well thanks to The Amazing People Club I have have 2 sets of 3 informative iBooks to give away to 2 lovely readers. The titles include
