Last week the monster and I were lucky enough to be invited to a Next Mummy Blogger Event to preview their new Autumns/Winter kids collection at the very pretty Crockwell Farm near Banbury. Next could not have picked a prettier location even if they had tried as Crockwell farm is a truly beautiful place made even lovelier by the beaming summer sunshine.
I am a huge Next fan and pre-monster my house was kitted out with their beautiful homeware collection. However after the little dudes arrival the pennies I used to spend on beautiful homeware where quickly redirected towards Next Children’s clothing and now monster is what can only be described as a true Next boy so I was very excited to see what they had in store for their A/W collection.
The lovely people at Next gave us a voucher to kit the monster out in some new glad rags for the event and with help from daddy monster we selected a pair of brown fashion fit chinos, a lovely grey headphones t-shirt and an incredibly funky star hoody.
Even if I say so myself the monster looked like one incredibly cool dude!
After a few transportation issues we arrived at the venue and monster made a beeline for the homemade cake stand, 3 chocolate brownies later and he was ready to explore the rest of the activities and what a lot of activities there were. From children’s entertainment to face painting, balloon modelling, drawing and colouring to a fab toy area and even a bouncy castle there was plenty of things to keep the little man entertained whilst I had a good browse through the A/W clothing collection before being treated to a manicure in the beauty rooms and a play on the bouncy castle with the monster!
The Boys A/W collection is absolutely beautiful from the vibrant yellows and blues of the Rookie collection to the orange and creams of the Explorers range this gorgeous collection is set to turn little monsters into stylish dudes. Personally I am a huge fan of Chinos and luckily for me there are plenty or colours and styles to choose from – I can see my Next account growing bigger by the second!
Not to be left out the girls collection includes a stunning Arthouse range which features a whole host of stylish monochrome pieces and splashes of luscious yellow and metallic silvers throughout. Younger girls are in for a treat with the Big Idea range; from cute patterns to pretty colours this collection is too sweet for words.
I was mightily impressed with the clothes on show and couldn’t wait to get shopping although these very cool Mr Potato Head slippers just had to be the first piece of our A/W collection!
We had such a lovely day and whilst monster ran around like a crazy loon I was busy been treated like a princess in the beauty rooms – The Next ladies really know how to throw a party!
