LittleLife Doodle Daysack review and Competition

A mummy Amy Review

If there is one thing my little girl has inherited from both myself and her auntie Nic it’s a love for bags. The 3 ½ year old girlie monster has a collection of bags that would make the most avid bag lover jealous so when LittleLife sent boo one of their brand new Doodle Daysacks to try out for size I think I can safely say that she was the perfect tester for the job.

On arrival Boo eagerly explored the zips and pockets whilst I had a quick peak at the washing label as I could see this being a bag that was used on a regular basis. Lexi was quick to point out that the bag wasn’t pink like everything else in her girlie room but to me it is lovely  to see a backpack in neutral colours as it means that once she grows out of it then it can be passed down to me little man giving us double the usage.

The red and grey LittleLife Doodle daysack is a little different to any other bag in the monsters closet as it features a transparent pocket on the front that is home to a 40 paged doodle pad allowing your little monsters to draw a pretty picture and then display it proudly for all to see.  After a brief explanation and a dodgy doodle that looked more like a spider than the intended flower from mummy, Boo set to work with her coloured pencils creating her own unique piece of artwork. The monster made sure that the beautiful picture of a funky house incorporated her name so that “everybody knows it’s my bag and not Rilie’s mummy”.

Whilst she was busy drawing I had a good look around the bag and was happy to discover that the Doodle Daysack features padded shoulder straps that have the additional support of a strong chest strap as well as a soft padded back ensuring that it is ultra-comfy for the little tyke to wear even during longtrips to the shops. Measuring in at w20cm x D13cm x H31cm and with a capacity to hold 6L this funky daysack is large enough to pack those everyday essentials, which in Boos case include two sets of spare clothes and a good old packet of wet wipes, whist not being overly big that it swamps my tall 3 ½ year old thus making it a great size.

Other great additions to the bag include a thick grab handle located on the top of the bag which is ideal for keeping hold of the little monkey when we are near roads or for using to hang the bag up on her cloak room peg at nursery as well as two side pockets one of which is ideal for storing crayons whilst the other one is just about large enough to pop in a small sports bottle.

Lexi has used the daysack on the train, whilst out for dinner and during long car journeys and I can safely say that the doodle pad has kept her thoroughly entertained throughout. The Doodle Daysack has also become a weekly talking point amongst Boos friends at nursery and she is currently taking requests for different pictures on a daily basis- it’s a good job that the replacement pads cost just £1.99 or I would be broke!

Lexi really likes the Daysack and so do I however we would love to see the bag available in a wide range of colours.

Priced at £19.99 and ideally designed for monsters aged the LittleLife Doodle Daysack can be purchased for the Littlelife on-line store.
