Cosatto You2 Review

Are you on the lookout for a twin pushchair  that breaks the mundane design moulds and stands out from the crowd? Then why not take a peek at the Cosatto You2 which is available in a whole host of funky and colourful designs.

Now personally I’ve never needed to use a double/twin pushchair before as at this moment in time one cheeky monster is enough for our hectic household however Nana monster is a crazy lady and looks after not only my 2 year old little man but also my sisters two mini monsters aged two and three on a weekly basis. To help Nana get out and about with three tots Cosatto sent over a You2 in Nanas choice of design- The Owl and the Pussycat for her to try out.

Getting out of the house with three monsters is a handful in itself never mind the walk to the  park so in order to make life that little bit easier Nana monster was on the lookout for a twin stroller that was;

  • Narrow enough to fit through standard doorways
  • Lightweight enough to make popping it in and out of the car boot easy peasy
  • Easy to push one handed to enable her to keep hold of big boo and push the stroller when crossing busy roads
  • Simple to fold/unfold- Three kids are enough hassle without having to battle with a complicated stroller for ten minutes
  • Versatile- With new born babies right up until nearly 4 year olds in the family a stroller that can adapt to change quickly and easily is a must have

So did the You2 meet Nanas extensive criteria?

Well Nana Monster gave the You2 great big thumbs up and here’s why……

The You2 is a handsome chappy who comes with a fabulous range of free accessories making his RRp of £250 a bargain.

Included in his pretty box are

2 x New Born Head Huggers

2x Snuggly Cosy Toes

2 x Sets of thick chest straps

2 x Insulated Bottle holders

1 x Flexible Rain Cover

Phew more accessories then you could shake a stick at!

The lightweight silver frame boasts black wipe able and water resistant fabrics featuring lovely Owl and Pussycat appliques however for added snuglyness you can pop on one of the comfy cosy toes’ to add both padding and warmth- perfect for those cold winter days.

When the sun eventually decides to pop on his hat and come out to play then the cosy toes can be un- zipped to reveal a very cool two way reversible liner. With cuddle fleece on one side and cool cotton starry material that coordinates with the lining of the hoods on the other this liner is perfect for all seasons. The only thing to note is that the Cosy Toes’ aren’t that long so the two year old monsters struggled to sit straight legged especially long legged mini Boo which is a shame as the designs are ultra-pretty.

The You2 is a twin pushchair which has enabled the boys to sit side by side, hold hands, sorry high-five each other and chat away like theirs no tomorrow causing endless giggles and the occasional tantrum if one has something the other wants but that’s monster for you!

Nana has reported that the six sets of twin wheels along with the three foam padded handles and lockable front swivel wheels makes the You2 a brilliant stroller for trips to both shopping centres and parks and this along with the adequate sized baskets ensures that she is always ready to set off on the next adventure.

The stroller is easy to manoeuvre and weighing in at just 11kg the You2 is lightweight enough to push one-handed  which is perfect as it ensures Nana Monster can keep a hold of big Boos hand when tackling busy road crossings or when trying to stop her raid the sweetie shelves in the busy supermarket!

With a width of 74.5cm the stroller is a pretty narrow fellow and easily scoots through standard size single doors and thanks to a nifty umbrella style fold both opening him out and folding him away again is a quick and simple task. Independent hoods, 2 position calf supports and multi point reclines allow each seat to be quickly adapted to suit the monster in question whilst the combination of the lay flat position and inclusive head hugger allows the seat to be used from newborn.

The boys are both two and seem to fit pretty comfortable into the 27.5cm wide seats whilst the 47cm back height and 15cm hood clearance means that they have plenty of room to grow upwards too! Even nearly four year old Boo managed to get herself in there – getting her out was a different matter but we won’t talk about that here!

All in all the Cosatto You2 is an absolutely gorgeous twin stroller that is beautiful to look at, simple to use, quick to adapt and not too heavy on the old purse strings. What more could you ask for?
